Our Breeding Program
At Atlantic Working Dogs, we take pride in producing exceptional Multi-Purpose Canines through our comprehensive and hands-on breeding program. Every step of the process is designed to ensure the health, temperament, and performance of our dogs, starting with my personal oversight of all whelping and neonatal care. From the moment our puppies are born, we provide the highest level of care and attention to both the mothers and their litters, laying the foundation for well-rounded, adaptable dogs.

Our program begins by carefully selecting males and females with superior genetics, physical health, and proven abilities, creating the perfect pairing for future success. To further enhance development, we implement advanced neonatal stimulation techniques. Starting at just two days old, we use Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of scientifically proven exercises that strengthen the immune system, improve cardiovascular health, and build resilience to stress. Alongside ENS, we perform Early Scent Introduction (ESI), exposing puppies to a variety of scents during their critical developmental period to stimulate their olfactory senses and encourage advanced scent recognition skills.

Additionally, we incorporate age-appropriate cognitive exercises to promote early problem-solving abilities. Through activities like gentle tactile stimulation, head positioning, and thermal exposure, we help puppies develop the skills they need to navigate their environment and face new challenges with confidence. Studies show that these techniques lead to puppies who are more adaptable, less fearful, and better equipped to learn new tasks as adults.
